Realmente, se eu não lesse não acreditaria, mas enfim, isso ocorre o tempo todo, em todos os foros, mas fica particularmente bizarro numa coisa que se chama Conselho de Direitos Humanos.
A Humanidade, com H maiúsculo ou ,minúsculo?, parece rir de si própria.
Ou seria para chorar?
Quando pensamos que já vimos tudo, ainda não vimos nada.
Certa diplomacia votou entusiasmada pelos novos membros, companheiros plenos, estratégicos, amigos do peito.

The United Nations General Assembly elected China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Cuba and nine others to fill seats on the Human Rights Council.

To the Editor:
Re “New Rights Council Members Elected” (World Briefing, Nov. 13):
The fact that the United Nations General Assembly elected China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Cuba — among others — for three-year terms on the Human Rights Council is too ironic to be believable.
These new members have refused to allow the council’s investigators to examine abuse complaints in their own countries, yet they have been elected to a council that investigates such records of members of the United Nations. What is the message?
